How to run a software update on a Cloud Database

Article ID: 2627
Last updated: 08 Mar, 2018

The update process for a cloud database is the same as those who run a local standalone or network setup. Any available updates will appear within the Notifications panel in the top right of the screen. In order to successfully install the latest version:

  1. First, ensure that all users have been logged out of the software.
  2. Log in as admin.
  3. Download and Run the update from the Notifications panel.
  4. The program will restart on the latest version. Other users can then open up the program as normal and this will force the client software to update as well.

Backups before Updating

The cloud system uses an automated process to back up the user data on a daily basis. If data has changed since the overnight backup, the admin user is able make a manual backup of the database if deemed necessary.
