Is there a network version of TaxCalc for Mac and Linux machines?

Article ID: 2674
Last updated: 12 Dec, 2016

With the release of the Mac and Linux versions of TaxCalc for standalone computers, and the subsequent CloudConnect offering, we have been working toward releasing the network capable version of the program for the Mac and Linux platforms.

While work and testing on the Server portions of TaxCalc in these environments are still ongoing, we are now able to offer customers the ability to use Mac and Linux machines as a client machine where TaxCalc is networked.

if you wish to set up a client machine on Linux or Mac, please contact Support for more information and a direct link to the software for these platforms.

There are a couple of restrictions:

  • The Encrypted PDF module is not available for Mac or Linux client machines.
  • Some reporting options may not be available from Linux machines due to the non-availability of Microsoft Office on this platform.
