What are background updates?
TaxCalc has the ability to update various data without the need for a software update. We call these background updates.
Examples of data which can be updated include CT indexation rates, tax offices and dividend data.
When TaxCalc starts it checks to see if it has the latest version and if it finds a newer version of the required data, it will download this in the background for you. A notification will appear to let you know if it failed or was downloaded successfully.
To clear the notification, click on Show details then Dismiss.
