Before you move TaxCalc to a new Mac, make sure your current software is up to date. You can't easily move a database created in an older version of TaxCalc to a newer version. If you do have to restore an older backup and you experience problems, contact Support for help. Moving TaxCalc to a new Mac is a three-step process. Make a backup (old Mac)
Install TaxCalc (new Mac)
Restore the backup (new Mac)
NOTE: This process will restore the data as it was on the old Mac so should not be performed on a Mac where data has been entered since being installed. NOTE: If you store your return files outside the database, contact Support before moving TaxCalc in order to minimise any issues.
