Backups on CloudConnect and how they are secured

All backups are encrypted at the highest level commercially available encryption standards (AES 256-bit (Advanced Encryption Standard)) both in transit (over the network) and at rest (on the disk).

There is additional information available on our legal pages for TaxCalc CloudConnect Backups which defines what warm and cold backups are: CloudConnect Backups

Warm Backups:

  • Stored: Mythic Beasts (UK TaxCalc cloud providers) on two different servers
  • Encryption: AES 256-Bit (Advanced Encryption Standard both in transit and at rest)
  • Certification: ISO 27001 and 27701 (the International Standard on how to manage information security)

Cold Backups:

  • Stored: OVH
  • Encryption: AES 256-Bit (Advanced Encryption Standard both in transit and at rest)
  • Certification: ISO 27001 and 27701 (the International Standard on how to manage information security)

Manual Backups:

  • Stored: OVH and Mythic Beasts
  • Encryption: AES 256-Bit (Advanced Encryption Standard both in transit and at rest)
  • Certification: ISO 27001 and 27701 (the International Standard on how to manage information security)
  • Amount allowed: These manual backups are limited to 10, however you have the ability to delete the earliest one when that limit is reached. Deleting a manual backup can be done within the TaxCalc application under Admin Centre \ Database.
