TaxCalc defaults the tax returns to be stored in the central database. If you’re using a standalone or network version, you have the option to store your returns either in a local database or in regular files. We do not recommend this as it may cause potential duplication of data, particularly if running a network version. To import any returns not saved in your database complete the following steps:
In the above example tax return screen, it shows:
To import the file into the database
To import a file with a broken link
Note: Importing the tax return does not delete the original file from the file structure.
