Using the Bulk Service wizard in Practice Manager Plus

Using the Bulk Service wizard

If you would like to add a particular service (with or without a default Job Template attached) to a selection of clients, you can use the Bulk Service Wizard which is located in several places, depending on how and where you are creating your Jobs.

You can Activate the Job Template for the selected clients instantly within this wizard. If you select to Activate here, the jobs and associated tasks will be created automatically for each client selected. Alternatively, you can choose to activate the templates later, for individual clients, in Active Work within the client record in Practice Manager.

To use the wizard:

  1. Go to :
    1. Admin Centre > Applications > Customise Practice Manager > Services Offered >Bulk Service Wizard OR
    2. Practice Manager > Work Management > Create
    3. Practice Manager > Client Record > Active Work - you can select Create or Activate
  2. The Bulk Service Wizard dialog is displayed
  3. From the Select client tab, select the clients you'd like to apply the services to.
  4. Click Continue to the Select services tab.
  5. Select all the services you want to activate.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. From the Add fee/templates tab enter the Fee basis.
  8. Enter the Expected Fee if required.
  9. Select Default Job Template to assign a default Job Template to the service.
  10. The Assign Default Job Template dialog is displayed.
  11. Select the Job Template from the list and click Assign.
  12. Select whether you would like to Activate? the Job Template for this service instantly using the wizard.
  13. Click Continue to display a Summary of the service and template that will be activated for the selected clients.
  14. Click Update to update the client records with the selections made and to activate the services and Job Templates.
  15. To view the Jobs and associated tasks created go to Practice Manager > Client record > Active Work where you should see the Job listed.
