Where do I enter Carers Allowance?

To enter Carer's Allowance, go to the Other taxable state benefits wizard screen in SimpleStep or HMRC Forms.

SimpleStep mode

  1. Select Pension income and benefits from the left-hand menu.
  2. Tick the box Taxable State pension or benefits.
  3. Click Next Step to go to the State retirement pension and other taxable state benefits screen.
  4. Click on the Total of any other taxable state benefits wizard.
  5. Enter Carer's Allowance into Other taxable state benefits wizard. * 

HMRC Forms mode

  1. Select SA100 Core Return from the left-hand menu.
  2. Go to Page 3.
  3. Click on the Box 16 (Total of any other taxable State Pensions and benefits) wizard.
  4. Enter Carer's Allowance into Other taxable state benefits wizard. *
