How do I submit a tax return online?

Once you've completed your tax return, you can submit it online using TaxCalc. To do this, please see our video tutorial below:

Alternatively, please see the written steps below:

  1. Click on Check and Finish.
  2. If there are no errors, click on File Online.
  3. Make sure the Test File box is un-ticked.
  4. Click on Submit.

Correcting errors

If there are errors on the Check and Finish page, you may need to correct them before you submit the return. Errors are colour-coded to show their severity:

  • Red – major errors that you need to correct before submitting.
  • Orange – minor errors or omissions that might affect your submission.
  • Blue – minor points just for your consideration that won't affect the submission of your return.

Click on Go beside an error to amend it. Once you've amended the errors, follow Steps 1 to 4 above to complete the submission of your return.
