To enter and store your VAT filing credentials in TaxCalc, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Administration from the home screen.
  2. Select Applications from the left-hand menu.
  3. Select VAT Filer from the list of your products.
  4. Select Customise VAT filing from the left-hand menu.
  5. Click on Filing Credentials.
  6. Select Continue in the bottom right corner.
  7. Click on Finish and Save.

Please note: The above VAT credentials are your existing Gov Gateway credentials which would be used for filing VAT returns via the Government gateway service. For MTD VAT returns, you will have new credentials. These new credentials don't need to be entered on the Filing Credentials page. The new credentials will need to be entered at the point of authorising TaxCalc to interact with HMRC for retrieving VAT data.
