If you want to file a paper return, you can print your return using TaxCalc and then send this by post.

PLEASE NOTE: When you print the return, you must ensure that you print the return in greyscale or colour. Black and white returns will be rejected.

The paper return deadline is 31 October 2024 for the tax year 2023-24.

There are two exceptions to this deadline and for which the paper deadline is extended to 31 January 2025:

  • If HMRC has told you that you can't file online
  • If you're prevented from filing online because of technical problems with HMRC’s systems – TaxCalc will tell you if this applies, where possible.
