How do I apply for a Presenter Identifier and Presenter Authentication Code from Companies House?
A Presenter Identifier and Presenter Authentication Code are always necessary if you file accounts through third party software. A presenter ID is 11 characters long and is a mixture of numbers and letters. It can either start and end with 000, or start with the letter E followed by 10 digits. The Presenter Authentication code is a mixture of numbers and letters and is 11 characters long. This is usually entered in capitals.
Companies House have 3 different types of accounts and depending on what you need to file to Companies House, will depend on which account you should apply for.

Webfiling service.
This service will not work with third party software providers however it will provide you with an email address and password log in which will give you access to the variety of forms to complete online.
