Where do I enter interest received from payment protection insurance (PPI)?

To declare interest received from payment protection insurance (PPI), go to the Any Other UK interest section of the tax return.

SimpleStep mode

  1. Go to Other income > Savings and investments > Any other UK interest.
  2. Enter the relevant information in the boxes.

HMRC Forms mode

  1. Go to Additional information Page 1.
  2. Enter the relevant information in boxes 1 to 3.

Please note that PPI payments and any tax paid does not need to be declared on the return itself. Should you wish to read further information on this, please see the HMRC guidance here.
