Can I get an official HMRC SA302 summary from TaxCalc?

Article ID: 2403
Last updated: 23 Feb, 2022

Unfortunately TaxCalc doesn't produce any documentation bearing the official HMRC logo. This includes summaries such as the SA302.

Mortgage lenders are now accepting the SA302 summary produced by third party software or the tax year overview. HMRC have stopped sending paper SA302 tax summaries to clients in September 2017. For further information on this please refer to the blog post on our website. You can also find a full list of mortgage lenders who comply to this initiative.

To generate an SA302 Summary from TaxCalc, please:

  1. Open the SA100 tax return
  2. Click on Summaries
  3. Select SA302 Summary from the left hand menu
  4. The SA302 summary will be presented on screen with the options available to export accordingly

If you do require supporting information you may require the tax year overview which is generated from the HMRC website. To obtain this, please see the instructions below:

  1. Log in to the HMRC website with your user ID and password.
  2. Click on the applicable client in your list.
  3. Click on View Account.
  4. Click on Tax years.
  5. Choose the relevant year from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click on Go.
  7. Click on Print your Tax Year Overview.
