How do I create a Dashboard?

Article ID: 3078
Last updated: 24 Mar, 2020

Dashboards are a collection of widgets that can be added, removed and grouped to enable fast navigation to relevant information. They are designed to show data in a simplified structure, enabling greater efficiency.

You can create multiple dashboards containing different widgets for Practice Management, Tax Return Production and Accounts Production. You can also set default dashboards that can be shared to individual users as well as groups of users.

Dashboards can be duplicated and customised to suit individual user requirements. This is particularly useful if you want different users to have different dashboard views.

Creating a Dashboard:

  1. Select Dashboard from the bottom right-hand side of the TaxCalc homescreen.
  2. From the Settings menu select Create New.
  3. Enter the Name and Description of the dashboard.
  4. From the Share dropdown list select whether the dashboard is:
  • Private - only the dashboard creator has access to the dashboard.
  • Public - the dashboard can be seen by all users.
  1. From the Edit Layout dropdown list select how the dashboard is displayed:
  • One column - to display widgets as one column.
  • Two column - to display widgets in two equal columns.
  • Two column left - to display widgets in two unequal split columns.
  1. Click Save and Apply to save and apply the dashboard.
