What is a posting batch template?

The New Template Batch option under Posting, allows you to create a posting batch from a set of default templates. The batch will be auto-populated with account codes based on the template selected.

The following templates are currently available:

Last Years Trial Balance

The account codes provided by this template will be based on the trial balance from previous year end date.

Last Years Trial Balance (including Debit/Credit Values)

 The account codes and values supplied for this template will be based on the trial balance from previous years end date.

Favourite account Codes

• The account codes supplied for this template will be those set as 'Favourites' against the chart of accounts (within Admin) for this client type.

Each batch will be given a default description and a type based on the selected template – you can amend the description and type as necessary.
