There are a number of reasons why changes you make in Edit Notes might not appear on the financial statements.

Wrong accounting period

Check that you made the changes in the correct accounting period:

  1. Go to Accounts Production.
  2. Review the open tabs along the top.
  3. Select the client you're working on.
  4. Check the accounting period displayed top right, next to the cog icon.
  5. If this isn't the current year, close the tab.
  6. Repeat for all tabs for this client until only one is open showing the current accounting period.

Not saved

Check that you've saved your changes:

  1. Go to Accounts Production.
  2. Select Notes from the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on Edit Notes.
  4. Search for the note you're having difficulties with.
  5. Re-enter the changes if they aren't there.
  6. Click on Save and Close.

Cancelled

If you edit a number of notes at once, they won't be saved until you click on Save and Close. If at any point you click on Cancel, any changes made while the Edit Notes screen is open will be lost. You'll need to re-enter the changes.

Reset

If you click on Reset Entry the data in the current screen will revert to the default information. You'll need to re-enter the changes.
