The TaxCalc Accountancy Practice suite has, for many years, operated on desktop platforms running Windows, Mac or Linux. In each case the database could be stored on the computer itself or any other to which it is networked, whether that is another designated workstation or a dedicated server. During 2015, we announced an upcoming chargeable service that would allow one or more desktop installations to instead connect, from anywhere in the world, to a remote database that we store in the cloud.
