Introduction to Dashboard

Dashboard is a whole new way of working and designed to show data in a simplified way enabling you to be more efficient.

Dashboard is a collection of Widgets which can be interacted with enabling fast navigation to the information that you need to complete.

We hold a lot of data inside of TaxCalc, Accounts, Tax, Client Details, Tasks assigned to users, Accounts and Tax Returns linked to Tasks.

Adding Widgets to the Dashboard

‘Add Widget’ - enables you to choose from predefined widgets.

‘Edit Layout’ - there are 3 ways to arrange the widgets, a single column, two equal width columns and a large and small width column.

The Widgets that we have included as standard are as follows:

  • Tasks assigned to me – tasks can now be filtered by due dates
  • Tasks assigned to me by task type
  • Tasks assigned to other users by task type
  • Tasks assigned to other users by status of the task
  • A Client Counter
  • Filing Status Panel - showing any issues with HMRC and Companies House
  • Task summary – showing total tasks by status and type

Controlling Widgets

‘Refresh Widgets’ - Widgets will auto refresh every 15 minutes as a default but can be manually refreshed by selecting this icon

‘Moving Widgets’ - control the order of the widgets by dragging and dropping each widget using this icon

‘Editing and Removing Widgets’ - customise and remove your widgets by selecting this option. You will be able to select the size of the widget, how often the widget refreshes and specific content displayed on the widget. Dashboard will prompt you to think about how you are working, any ideas for how dashboard can innovate your practice we would love to know Support@taxcalc.com.
