When licensing TaxCalc I get the error: Product not purchased

If you receive this error message when trying to license TaxCalc, it means that:

  • you haven't yet purchased the product.
  • or (for Practice products) the licence has expired.

However, if you have successfully purchased or renewed your software, there might be an issue with the system clock on your computer. The licensing mechanism is date sensitive and a difference of over 24 hours can cause a problem.

Follow these steps to fix the problem:

  1. If you're in the UK check that your computer is set to the correct time and date. 
  2. If you're outside the UK check that your system clock is no more than 24 hours behind UK time.
  3. License the software again to gain access.

If you still can't access the software, contact our support team for further assistance.
