How to backup and restore my VAT information - non-practice userArticle ID: 3129

Unlike the tax return data, VAT information is stored in a database and therefore we need to ensure that you have access to this data in the event of moving information between machines. In order to take a backup of your VAT data please follow the steps below:
Please note, if you are moving TaxCalc to a new machine, you will need to ensure the backup can be transferred to the new machine or save this to a shared location. If you ever need to restore the backup (on the same or a new machine), please follow the below instructions:
