Where do I enter Filing Credentials for VAT Filer?

To enter and store your VAT Filing Credentials in TaxCalc, follow these steps:

For your Firm's details:

1. Go to Admin from the home screen
2. Select Applications from the left-hand menu
3. Select VAT Filer from the list of your products
4. Select Customise VAT filing from the left-hand menu
5. Click on Filing Credentials and enter in the your HMRC User ID and HMRC Password
6. Click on Finish > Finish and Save. Changes will take place with immediate effect.

For your Office: please note a WorkFlow licence is required to access this area.

1. Launch Admin Centre
2. Click on Firm Details
3. Click on the relevant office you wish to edit > Edit Office
4. Navigate to Online Filing Settings and enter in the your HMRC User ID and HMRC Password
5. Click on Finish > Finish and Save. Changes will take place with immediate effect.

For each User:

1. Launch Admin Centre
2. Click on Users
3. Click on the relevant username you wish to edit and Edit User
4. Click on Online Filing Settings and enter in your HMRC User ID and HMRC Password 
5. Click on Finish > Finish and Save. Changes will take place with immediate effect.

If you are wanting to use Client specific VAT Filing Credentials then please follow the instructions below:

1. Launch Practice Manager
2. Click on your client and Edit Client/Contact
3. Click on Business > New Business
4. Enter details for 'Add a New Business' > Save and Close
5. Highlight the Business and click on Edit Business
6. Scroll down the page till you see 'VAT Information'
7. Enter applicable details in for your client and tick the box for 'Enrolled for MTD VAT?'
8. Click on Finish > Finish and Save

Please note: If there already is a token in place for this client, you will need to delete the token and re-authorise. To do this:
