It is always recommended to be running the latest version of TaxCalc. This will ensure that you have the most up-to-date functionality and stability in the programs performance.

There are 2 different ways to check for software updates internally within the application.

• Go to Help > Check for Updates in the top left of the screen. If you are connected to the internet, a prompt will display either saying you are running the latest version, or there is a newer version to install. Follow the steps to update accordingly.
• Click on the Notifications in the top right-hand side of the screen. If an update is available there will be an option to download and install

The software will restart each time an update is successfully installed.

If there are problems downloading any of the updates, it is possible to re-download the installer to resolve the issue. Details on this can be found here: Reinstalling TaxCalc in case of a failed update or other unexpected behaviour.
