TaxCalc has implemented the option to enable you to rename the nominal codes on a global basis. This is an easier way for you to rename nominal codes in the chart of accounts for all of your clients. The following instructions detail how to rename the nominal codes.

1. Browse to Admin Centre.
2. Click on Applications.
3. Select Accounts Production from the table.
4. Click on Customise Accounts.
5. Select Chart of Accounts.
6. Highlight the entity type in the table.
7. Click on Edit COA.
8. Locate the nominal code and single-click to highlight.
9. Click on Edit Account to rename.
10. Once the account name has been changed, click on OK.

Once all of the changes have been made, ensure that you click on Finish and Save.

The chart of accounts for existing clients will not be updated automatically, so you will need to complete the following steps for the changes to be applied to these clients:

1. Open the client in Accounts Production.
2. Click on Accounts Setup.
3. Click on Chart of Accounts.
4. Highlight the nominal code.
5. Click on Edit Account.
6. Select Reset.

This should be repeated for each nominal code required and will be carried forward for all future accounting periods created for that client.
