How do I use Client Notes?

You can use Client Notes to add notes against a client for future reference.

Adding a note

You can add a note to a client's record in TaxCalc in one of three ways:

Any of these options will bring up a new window allowing you to enter a note for that particular client.

Viewing a note

When you have added a note against a client's record, you can check the record at any time to see any related notes. When viewing the notes, you can check when it was created, the note itself and who created the note.

You can view the clients note in one of two ways:

Editing a note

You can edit a client note by selecting a Client and then Edit Client / Contact in Practice Manager.

  1. Click on Notes in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select a note and edit it by using the Edit Note button to the right.

PLEASE NOTE: The ability to edit a note will depend on your user permissions as defined within Administration > Security Roles.

Deleting a note

You can delete a client note by selecting a Client and then Edit Client / Contact in Practice Manager.

  1. Click on Notes in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select a note and delete it by using the Delete Note button to the right.

PLEASE NOTE: The ability to delete a note will depend on your user permissions as defined within Admin Centre > Security Roles.
