How does submission of accounts to Companies House work?

Once you are happy with the accounts, you can then complete the submission to Companies House.

  1. Click on Check and Finish.
  2. If there are no errors, click on File To Companies House.
  3. Go through the 'File online to Companies House Wizard', choosing whether you want to submit the Abbreviated Financial Statements, Registrar Financial Statements or the Full Financial Statements.
  4. Make sure all the necessary fields are completed in the wizard.
  5. Click on File Online.

You are then required to poll for the response from Companies House, where they would have checked the disclosures and content of the accounts. To do this, please see How do I check the status of my submissions to Companies House?​
