How to turn on Quarantine Mode, Block/Unblock access to Cloud?

As CloudConnect customers, you have a feature called the CloudConnect Monitor. This enables you to have control over the computers that can licence onto the cloud database. You are able to block access to all new computers or existing computers trying to licence to your cloud database for security reasons. This is maintained in the form of Allowed Computers and Blocked Computers.

What is Quarantine Mode?

By turning on the quarantine mode, you are able to block access to all new computers trying to licence to your cloud database until you manually allow them. To do this, please complete the below steps:

  1. Login to www.taxcalc.com.
  2. Go to My Account.
  3. Expand the plus symbol for Edit My details on the left.
  4. Click on CloudConnect Monitor.
  5. Click on the Turn on button to turn on Quarantine mode.

You will then be shown the Turn on Quarantine Mode screen, with an option to add existing computers that are licensing on the cloud database to the allowed list or you can choose to block all existing computers and manually allow access to selected computers.

  1. If you wish to add existing computers to the allowed list, you will then need to click on Add All to Allowed List.
  2. If you don't want to add all existing computers to the allowed list and only want to allow some of them, click on Don't move.

Note: To manually Block/Unblock computers, please click on the Block/Unblock button against the computer that you would like to change the access details for.
