How do I include a different firm name on the accounts?

When you first install TaxCalc, you will be prompted to enter your firm's details, including your firm name, qualification and address. These details will filter through into the accounts in the necessary locations. If you have not entered these details, complete the following steps.

  1. Click on Administration.
  2. Complete the details for
    • Name of accountancy firm
    • Qualification Line (optional)
  3. Double-click on the option that appears under office name.
  4. Select Contact Details.
  5. Complete the Address fields. 

Once you save these changes for any new accounts you generate within the software, the name, address and qualification line will automatically be applied. 

Sub-contracting

If the accounts are being completed for another company, you will need to ensure that the following steps have been completed on the accounts.

  1. Open the client in Accounts Production.
  2. Click on Address under Client Information.
  3. For the accountant's address located at the bottom of the page, click on Choose Address.
    • If the address you need is already on screen, highlight this option and select Use.
    • If the address does not appear on screen, click on New Address and complete the details. To add this address to the list, you will need to ensure that the address type is Alternative Accountants and click on Use. You then need to highlight this option and select Use.

This will automatically update the details on the accounts.

If you wish to remove all association to your company from the accounts, you will need to.

  1. Browse to Accounts Setup.
  2. Click on Cover Page.
  3. Remove the ticks for the Firm's details to show at foot of page.

When you now generate the accounts, this should display the Alternative Accountant's details on the following pages:

  • Company Information/Business Details
  • Accountants Report
