Why can't I edit the notes to the accounts?

If you can't edit notes to the accounts, the accounting period may be locked.

Follow these steps to unlock it:

  1. Click on the Check and Finish menu.
  2. Select Unlock Accounting Period.

NOTE: It's good practice to lock the accounting period once your client has approved the accounts.
